People counting for me is looking at the raw logs of my site and sussing out based on user agent bot vs human and one agent vs another. It's few enough that just seeing anybody still gets me a tickle.
If you'd like to let me know you're a real human and you looked at a thing, you can use the 'I was here!' link at the bottom right. I can pick 'em out specially in the logs. If you click on it you can get a textbox to send a which you can use to send a "comment" in the url so I can see it in the request logs. Maybe one day I will set up a proper database so y'all can have a proper comment section. But then I'd have to moderate so, maybe not.
